Michael Barker, Founder & President
Michael earned a B.S. in Quantitative Finance with Minor Studies in Economics and Computer Science from The University of Alabama. After college, he worked as an auditor at a large private company with operations in Nashville, TN — a role that led him to the acquisitions team. Later he spent several years in IT Security and later Strategic Sourcing at a large public company in Birmingham, AL. His skills with technology were indispensable in allowing him to excel in these roles.
Michael met his future wife in Birmingham, and they later moved to Denver, CO. In early 2015, Michael combined his passion for data and technology with his entrepreneurial spirit to launch Workspace Solutions from his home in Denver. Later that year, he moved his family and the company to their permanent location in Charlotte, NC.
Michael spends his spare time with his family and dogs, and he enjoys adventure, snow skiing, scuba diving, live music, and travel.
